Museum Moorseer Mill

Today the Moorseer Mill, the last working windmill at the Wesermarsh, forms the centre of a special museum for mills and regional mill history. The fascinating inner life of the technical monument shows the working world of bygone times. At the adjacent museum building attractive models and presentations as well as old equipment and historical photographs are exhibited.

Together they document the history of a mill landscape, its origin in the Middle Ages, its heydays at the beginning of the 20th century and the vanishing of windmills over the last fifty years. Traditional Schwarzbrot (dark rye bread) and tasty cakes are produced and offered to museum's guests at the museum's bakery on baking days.
